H. E. CHOGYE TRICHEN RINPOCHE
His Eminence Chogye Trichen Rinpoche was a highly revered teacher of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and renowned master in the Tibetan Buddhist world. He was the head of the Tsarpa school of the Sakya lineage of Tibetan Buddhism, and a beloved guru of thousands of disciples across the world. His Eminence held Lama Choedak Rinpoche in particularly high regard as his " heart son ".
His Eminence Chogye Trichen Rinpoche passed into Parinirvana January 2007.


Lama Choedak Rinpoche
L.C.R. is one of the finest and most prominent Tibetan Buddhist masters living in Australia today. Born in Tibet, he had twelve years of rigorous monastic training under the giudance of his teacher H.E.Chogye Trichen Rinpoche, including a three-and-a-half year solitary retreat sponsored by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. Rinpoche has been teaching meditation in the West for over twenty-two years and has a deep understanding of the Western mind. Lama Choedak Rinpoche is the founder of the Tibetan Buddhist Society of Canberra, and the Spiritual Director of Sakya Losal Choe Dzong also located in Canberra.

Lama Loppon Tsering Samdup
Lama Loppon Tsering Samdup is one of the few English speaking Tibetan Buddhist teachers in Australia. He was appointed a resident teacher of the Sakya Yigah Choeling centre in South Australia in 2000. Since then he has been teaching and leading retreats in various places around Australia and has now relocated to the Northern Beaches area of Sydney.
Loppon Tsering completed all studies of monasticism, Sutra and Tantra at Sakya College (one of the most prestigious Buddhist Universities) and has done many retreats. The title ‘Loppon’ is approximately equivalent to between a Master’s and a Doctor’s philosophy degree. Loppon also successfully completed a translation course at Dharamsala. He taught Buddhist philosophy to monks at his home monastery at Bir in India and traveled overseas with high Lamas as an interpreter on several occasions. Loppon is a highly qualified scholar and meditation master.


Khenpo (Loppon) Ngawang Dhamchoe

Khenpo-la is one of the most knowledgeable and respected teachers of the practice and philosophy of Tibetan Buddhism in Australia, with a monastic career that spans over 35 years.  His excellent command of English and understanding of Western ways provides his teachings with a clarity and wisdom that is accessible to all. Khenpo-la also gives regular teachings at Dharmchakra Gompa at Gympie, and other centres Australia-wide and overseas. He is the Founder and Spiritual Director of the Drogmi Buddhist Institute in Sydney. He regularly gives talks and conducts meditation programmes in central and western Sydney, the Blue Mountains, the New South Wales south coast.
